This is an album of my arrangements of Greek Orthodox Hymns honoring Jesus's mom, Mary.
Traditionally, sung hymns in the Greek Orthodox Chruch are not harmonized with more than a pedal tone. I added some of my own interpretation to the collections of these spiritual songs.
This is an EP of two original songs and a cover of a song by the Strokes. Angel's Song was written in memory of a dear friend of mine who passed away in January of 2024. I Forget to Remember is a song I wrote while reflecting on my time working with an elderly woman dealing with dementia. The songs work together to create a nostalgic, melancholy, bittersweet atmosphere, each with their own character.
